Industrial stretch hooding films are heavy duty products which have a degree of elasticity allowing the film to be stretched over a load, and snap back tightly when released.

Small Stretch File

Some customers are moving towards stretch hooding rather than shrink covers as an alternative to the costs associated with heating a shrink tunnel on an industrial scale.

The usual format is gusseted film on the roll, however, sheeting and single bag applications are in use. All products exhibit high toughness and puncture resistance.

Step 1 Hooding

Film is supplied as film on the reel. The unit cuts and seals in line and applies the hood to the load. Typical applications include salt, sugar, paper, construction products and plastics raw materials. Britton Taco now offers a stretch hood product which offers both high strength and aesthetic appearance to enhance the product image.

Britton Taco has worked closely with both materials and machinery suppliers to offer a range of films with consistent performance suitable for use on all the major wrapping units. One film size will wrap a number of pallet formats

Step 2 Stretch Release band

Film is supplied as single wound sheet, and rolls are used vertically in pairs to seal and stretch around product. A typical application would be for concrete blocks. We offer full technical support, both pre and post manufacture, to ensure all our customer needs are met.
